Shanghai Metro Line 14 Yuyuan Station
Location: Yuyuan Station, Shanghai, China 200010
Architects: XING DESIGN
Position: Intern

Role: Design Development, Digital Modeling

The ceiling of Yuyuan Station presents a wavy curve, representing the water of the Huangpu River above the subway. These curvilinear "waves" slap onto the columns, creating rhythmic pulses. ——If the subway is compared to the city artery of Shanghai, then at the deepest Yuyuan Station, you can feel the pulse of the city.
